The first cellphone I had was back in college. My parents bought me one so that I’ll be able to contact them since I’m going to be far away from them (at last, I had my freedom.). The one that I had was one of those big cellphones that is so bulky when you put them in your pocket. I was really happy having a cellphone that time. The conveniences of calling and texting people are reasons already to appreciate this kind of gadget. One thing that I always want to personalize is my cellphone’s ringtone. That time, the ringtones were just monophonic but being able to listen to a song that is made out of it is already cool for us. Now, there are music ringtones where you hear the actual song when your cellphone rings.
Before, if you would like to personalize your ringtone, you would need to go a mall or celllphone stores in order for you to purchase ringtones (even though it was still monophonic). It was such a hassle back then, plus you would need to buy the ringtones that you want. Good thing there are now websites that offers ringtones. Some of them are actually free. You can even compose the ringtones that you want online. That was how simple life is back then.
After monophonic ringtones, there was the polyphonic ringtones which according to some website in the internet that I have read, “make use of multiple tones that are played simultaneously with the instrumental sounds created by guitars, drums, violins, pianos, cymbals and more”. I think it was my 4th and 7th cellphones that have a polyphonic ringtone. To be honest, I wasn’t really a big fan of that ringtone. Another thing is that you can’t compose a polyphonic ringtone so you have no choice but to buy one or look for a website that offers free polyphonic ringtones.
Then there came, the music ringtones like the one that I’m using for my cellphone right now. The new models of cellphones have this feature since people like listening to music. That would be the best way to personalize the ringtone for your cellphone. The best part is, you can actually get the ringtones in a lot of ways. You can purchase it or do it for free. Since they are mp3 ringtones, all you need to do is download songs in the internet and just download the ringtone from your pc to your ringtone. That’s how easy it is.
No matter which ringtone you prefer? Whether it’s polyphonic ringtones, monophonic ringtones, or true tones, internet is the best way to find the ringtones that suits your style. From classic to pop, from alternative to rock, from r&b to hip hop, ringtone websites have it all.
